More snow...ohh nooo....lol
Yup you read it right, we got more snow!!! Yuk! another foot of the stuff. We are having the weirdest winter here. we got a foot of snow yesterday and now its sunny out and supposedly the temps are just gonna keep rising. well come to think of it i am really ok with that ;) But I bet things are going to be a muddy mess this weekend. At least it doesnt look like we will start off our new growing season with a drought. To bad I couldn't convince my parents to get a rain barrel system in time......could you imagine all the water storage, from this crazy systems melt off. Well today I have been bad, I have watched way to much tv. but in my defense I am getting a little bit of cabin fever. I know my poor daughter is to. 2weeks with no school is really hard on a 7 year old. I think I am going to start some rosemarry and cilantro for my kitchen/window garden. That will keep me occupied for a little while. I saw a really neat slogan at wal*mart the other day. It was on there seed holders, it said for every $1 you spend on seeds you save $20 in buying produce. I am not sure if the math is right on that. I would think you would save more than that. However, it really makes you think.......wow even at $20 that is an amazing savings. just some food for thought.

Weekend.....
Yippi!!! We finally got out of the house yesterday afternoon. Wal*mart was just as bad if not worse than black friday though. GRRRRrrr. ohwell at least we got out. I got out this morning aswell. I was able to go see my "lil man" as I call the guy I take care of on the weekends. Then...it started raining on the way home....yuk...... It changed over to snow here, and as we were watching the 5:30 news the weather man was saying the rain would change over to snow at 9pm....lol as we were looking out at snow already. needless to say school is canceled yet again tomarrow.......*sigh* what a way to start the week. not sure if i will get out again before next weekend. I am starting to really miss my people. At least I picked up more seed starting supplys. I have enough to keep me busy for a lil while. hehe ;)

So being snowed in for the 4th day in a row. Not only do I have a bad case of Cabin fever, but my spring fever is now in high gear. I have planted a couple more seeds so far today. I just planted wonderberry aka sunberry. I am really looking forward to these. My snow pea, brussal sprout and cabbage babies are all doing well. Trinity is having a ball talking to them and noticing that they REALLY do grow bigger and faster after hearing kind words spoken to them :-) I am enjoying listening to some of my yoga meditation music while typing, its calming my nerves perfectly. after a little while I am going to plant some tomato's and herbs. I am so excited to be trying so many different heirlooms this year. I have been having a ball trading and talking to people on www.idigmygarden.com . everyone so far has been awesome! Trinity and I are even going to participate on the 1st ever kids train!! How cool is that. If you are interested in getting into some really great heirloom seeds, I highly recommend going to Baker Creeks website which is www.rareseeds.com I have had the best experience with them so far. and there catalog is absolutely beautiful. Its really hard to stick within your budget because you want to try everything. But that's were the trading seeds comes in really handy :-) This year I am growing seedlings not only for myself, but for my mother and my in home health care clients aswell. The tomatos that I am going to start today are Kelloggs breakfast which is a beefsteak tomato, Fox cherry tomatos and black oxhearts. I am waiting on some pinnapple tomatos, cherokee purples and a few others to still come in. Here is a list of what is going to be in our gardens so far. keep in mind that I have not started everything yet.
